Our Story
Where Grief Meets Giving
Gifts For Comfort was created to honor Comfort Matthew Devoe Dunigan, beloved son, grandson, and nephew whose life—though brief—left a mark too deep for words.
Comfort was born peacefully sleeping July 17th, 2025.
So much love, so many hopes, and so many dreams that had no place to go. And from that ache, something beautiful was born.
Gifts for Comfort was created to honor Comfort and the countless other sleeping babies whose families never had the chance to watch them grow. Born from the love of families whose mission is to transform longing into blessing.
Gifts for Comfort provides gifts to children in need by matching them by age with a child who was lost so that no year, no milestone, and no birthday passes without love. In doing so, we carry their memory forward believing that love came first and continues to carry us forward.

Our Mission
At Gifts For Comfort, we honor the lives of children we never had the chance to hold, raise, or watch grow. Born from the love of families who have endured miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion loss, and the heartbreak of dreams interrupted, our mission is to transform longing into blessing. Gifts for Comfort collects gifts from families who wish to honor a child they have lost on birthdays, holidays, or remembrance days. Each donation is shared with a child in need, and the family’s story is lovingly featured on our website—creating a legacy of remembrance, hope, and comfort.
In doing so, we carry their memory forward, believing that love came first and continues to guide us home.
